In the past few months I’ve heard a lot of cases where adsense accounts have been disabled due to invalid click activity. If you look around Warrior forum regularly, you will possibly find someone talking about their account being disabled nearly everyday. In the post penguin world, where negative SEO is catching up and Webmasters are worried that anybody could cause harm to their websites by building a few spammy links to it. The same is possible with Google your adsense accounts as well since it’s easy for anyone to take your adsense code and use it on a website / blog that does not fall in line with google adsense terms and conditions. The result – your google adsense account will be shut down.
If you’re one among those who have a huge revenue through google adsense and publish your earnings on a monthly basis, you should be aware as there are a lot of negative forces that can cause harm to you.
Luckily for us, google adsense has a feature whereby you can authorize your websites to display ads. For instance, if you enabled Allowed Site only for abc.com and use your Adsense Publisher ID to display ads on xyz.com, the Google ads will still display though you won’t generate any revenue from the clicks or impressions.
Steps to Choose Who can Display Your AdSense Ads
Log into your Adsense account
Go to Home > Account settings
- In the “Access & authorization” section, next to “Sites authorized to show ads,” click edit
- Check the box marked Only allow certain sites to display ads for my account.
- Enter the URL of the sites that you want to authorize as shown below, then click Save
If you enable this option and make your site the only authorized website, you can miss an opportunity to monetize this indirect traffic (Google Cache and Translation sites) though the visitors will still see Google ads on your web pages.
