I guess it has some advantages over the classic print screen function in windows, since you don’t have to open the image in a third-party photo editing software. But i’m not sure it’s worth it with the way firefox handles huge number of extensions by getting slow.
And i bet those editing tools can’t beat programs like Photoshop.

@ Maria – Thats so true, we need to limit the no. of add ons in firefox to ensure it works at a reasonable speed.

Firefox is working on the speed problem, but it seems they haven’t yet fixed it in FF4. But i’ve read today they intend to release FF5 in the next months, i’m hoping we’ll see some improvement there.

Since I am doing alot of tutorials in my websites, screenshots are very essentials.

So far, I don’t use any plugins to take a screenshot, only pressing the Druck-SABf (German key) LOL and it works perfectly.

Now after reading this post, I know there is a plugin to make works easier,

Thanks Sandy and Sandeep :-)

@ Kimi – yup, u should try this firefox plugin as you can capture the complete web page or visible area.. The best part of this plugin is that it has an inbuilt editor as well.

Great to see that it will save the whole website. I was like many others on here that would rely on the print screen and either Photoshop or Paint.

This is definitely going to speed things up so I don’t waste time trying to patch images together and erasing toolbars =). Thanks for sharing this.

This is much better compared to the traditional print screen button in our keyboard. It’s easier and hassle free. No need to paste the captured screenshot in a photo editor software. It’s automatically done by this plug in. Thanks for sharing and more power!
